Valencia Basket repeat visit to the Baskonia’s court for the Endesa League semifinals game 2

Valencia Basket faces the Endesa League semifinals game 2 visiting Baskonia for the second time in 48 hours  (Thursday 1, 20:30h, Fernando Buesa Arena, # 0) after conquering the Alava’s court in the first match of the series by a tight 82-83. After rewriting his own history in the Playoffs to get their first victory in Vitoria in the postseason, the Taronja squad now faces the difficult challenge of trying again to have options to fight for the win in the game 2 and to put a 0-2 before the Playoff moves to the Fonteta from Saturday June 3rd. Coach Pedro Martinez has a rotation of twelve men available with the return to the group of American center Mike Tobey, but maintains the absence of Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom.

 

Pedro Martínez: "The series remains very difficult for both teams"

Valencia Basket coach Pedro Martinez said after the win in the game 1 that his team "must keep their feet on the ground because Baskonia has shown that it is a great team and the series remains very difficult for the both teams. We must have stability, try to do things well in the second game and improve, because although we won the first, Baskonia has been superior to us in intensity for many minutes. We have to improve on that or they will win the second game. We can not fall into valuing only the last result, there is a lot of equality, we have seen in the Endesa League in the standings”.
